Tash Buxton and The Money Makers are a brand new Birmingham based four piece live band, playing classic and contemporary Blues, RnB, Soul, Jazz and funk.
Led by Jam House regular drummer Tash Buxton, the band showcases the very best of midlands musical talent with David Stevenson on lead guitar and vocals, Wayne Matthews on bass, Liam Halloran on Piano, Hammond and Rhodes and Tash Buxton on drums.
The band channel the classic guitar driven blues of BB King, Freddie King, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix together with contemporary blues by Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Robert Cray and John Mayer.
Whilst Blues is the main dish on the Money Maker’s menu, they also serve up classic and modern Soul, Jazz and Funk in equal measures with songs by Gregory Porter, William Bell, James Brown, Omar, Bill Withers and Donny Hathaway.
• Tash Buxton: - Drums
Tash is Birmingham’s leading female session drummer with some 19 years performing at The Jam House and a range of leading bands including Fat Chops Big Band, Dino Baptiste, Elle-J Walters.
She is the drummer of choice for numerous jazz, blues, RnB, soul and funk bands in the Midlands.
Tash is The Money Makers Musical Director and band leader and conceived the idea of putting together a blazing team of outstanding Brummie musicians to bring contemporary blues, RnB, Soul, Funk and Jazz to new audiences.
Tash Buxton and the Money Makers are planning a busy year playing gigs and festivals throughout the UK in 2024 and potentially Europe and further afield in 2025.
